ABOUT
Amaar is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. He has earned a Master’s in Social Work from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University. He has completed numerous trainings in various psychotherapy modalities including EFT, ACT, DBT, CBT and SFBT. Amaar has a passion for learning and will continue to explore the dynamic and growing practice of pyschotherapy to ensure his clients receive flexible and customized support that meets their needs. Amaar seeks to create a warm and welcoming environment for his clients in order to delve deeper into the exploration of thoughts, emotions and beliefs while suspending judgement. Through his work with clients Amaar hopes to encourage self-reflection, foster willingness and provide meaningful skills and techniques. Amaar is passionate about removing the stigma associated with therapy and ensuring access for all who are interested in improving their mental health. Alongside his role as a therapist, Amaar works as a hospital social worker supporting parents of children with autism.
